Walking for Wellness: Session 2
Walking for Wellness Program: Session 2 This group is aimed at increasing physical activity, social activity, and outdoor exposure. These 3 factors are known mental health protective factors. Additionally, engaging in experiential therapy activities may help individuals to process acute and chronic stresses. Reflection exercises will be integrated into the program, with the aim of increasing self-awareness and mindfulness. First Responders to Sexual Assault & Sexual Abuse
A Provincial course aimed at educating individuals about sexual abuse, assault, and harassment and train them to be first responders to someone who discloses abuse. The program will provide you with opportunity for practical application of skills (role plays) and allows participants to re-think prevention. You will learn a basic introduction to understanding self-harming. You will gain an understanding of why people self-harm, what the process is that they go through, what their triggers are, and how you can help someone change this behavior.
