Green, Yellow, Red Actions Presentation

The purpose of this presentation is to teach healthy boundaries, safe and unsafe actions, and understanding sexual harassment to developmentally delayed and/or disabled individuals as well as their care givers, staff who work with them, and anyone in their life who wants to know how to communicate to their clients/family in a more effective way regarding these issues.

During the three-hour presentation the following topics are covered:

  • Using stories, pictures, and videos as examples, facilitators will look at Green actions (appropriate behaviour), Yellow actions (questionable behavior), red actions (inappropriate behavior)
  • Sexual harassment
  • Explore how context is relevant to the appropriateness of behavior; age, relationship to the person, professional/personal, and public/private
  • Masturbation & Pornography
  • Participants determine if certain behaviors are Green, Yellow, or Red using scenarios
  • Participants are given the opportunity to discuss past experiences and ‘what if scenarios’
