Recognizing and Responding to Child Sexual Abuse (CRM17) – Zoom Program

Whether you are a parent, teacher, and/or in a supportive role of children and youth, the Recognizing and Responding to Child Sexual Abuse program will give you the tools on how to deal with such a prevalent and sensitive issue. Topics include but not are not limited to: Myths, Reality, and Statistics; Definitions of child sexual abuse & sexual assault; Consent; Sexual Grooming; Internet safety, Sextortion, and Online Pornography; Telling – Why it’s hard to tell and Why it’s important a child tells; Impacts of Trauma & Trauma Responses; Understanding offenders; What is normal and curious sexual behavior for children; Indicators of abuse; and How to Take Disclosures.
