National Indigenous Peoples Day

National Indigenous Peoples Day

We recognize June 21 as National Indigenous Peoples Day. On this day, we recognize and celebrate the history, heritage, resilience, and diversity of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis across Canada.

We encourage you to participate in an event near you!

@gpfriendship is hosting a parade (beginning at 5pm, starting at 113 Ave & 102 St, ending at 102 St & 102 Ave), as well as a mini round dance & food this evening at 6:30pm (10513 98 Ave).

It is important that today, and all days, we take the time to reflect on our own relationships with Indigenous communities and relationships with the land.
